Darrick Hazley - Rider # 151
There are so many wonderful charities to choose from. I have chosen The SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride) because 100% of every dollar I raise will be shared with AIDS Service Organizations around Florida. Mine in particular is Broward House, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL that not only takes care of civilians, but also homeless veterans. Some of our homeless veterans are suffering and need support. Very few organizations can boast that they have this guarantee, in-fact it is unheard of in an event like this.
On Friday November 17th, and Saturday November 18th I will join the 20th Anniversary ride with hundreds of other individuals who will ride their bicycles or crew from Miami to Key West 165-miles. Our journey will be one filled with hope, with memories, with pride, and with the dream of a future free of AIDS.
I have set an ambitious goal to help raise $2 Million this year, I personally want to do more than the required $1250 because I believe what we do makes a difference. Nothing would give me more pleasure than to hang up my bicycle and know that the world is free of HIV and AIDS.
I hope you will consider joining me on this journey and make a generous donation.
Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world, indeed; it is the only thing that ever has." You are part of the change, thank you.
