DAY – 2 Saturday
We depart Hawks Cay after breakfast (provided).  We ride a metric century (approximately 65 miles with rest stops every 15-20 miles) to Key West. As riders arrive in Key West Saturday afternoon, they will gather at our holding area and enjoy lunch by sponsored by Red Lobster. Once all riders are in (by 2PM) everyone is taken on a 4 mile police escort and parade around Key West, and down famed Duval Street to cheering crowds. The parade ends at the White Street Pier at the Aids Memorial to cheering crowds, your friends, and family for the closing ceremonies. While surrounded by the ocean on all four sides we announce how much money has been raised by YOUR efforts and conclude the ride.

Immediately following the closing ceremonies:

  • If you are shipping your bike back to Miami or beyond, you will drop your bicycle at Indigenous Park (across from closing ceremonies) immediately after closing ceremonies on Saturday November XX. There will be two areas: one for Bikes back to Miami, and one for those being packed and shipped.
  • You can pick up your luggage and gear from the Gear Truck and head to your hotel, shower, relax, unwind and meet us for our celebration parties later that evening. It’s a night of fun and celebration, and Key West  has been known to pull out all the stops.
  • Check the housing page for recommendations on where to stay (look at tab to your left.)
