On Friday, November 17th, and Saturday, November 18th I will join team Voulez-Vous Rouler? for the 20th Anniversary SMART Ride (Southern Most AIDS/HIV Ride). The SMART Ride is a two-day, 165-mile bike ride from Miami to Key West benefiting AIDS Service Organizations.
Voulez-Vous Rouler? is a diverse team made up of riders from Houston, New Orleans (pictured above), and West Palm Beach. We have seasoned riders who have participated for several years in a row and folks riding for the very first time (including me)! I've committed myself to this cause as a way to support a community under attack, help provide care to a (still) underserved population, and intentionally build community.
So far, I've ridden more than 729 training miles since April 2023 (as of 10/4/2023). Training for this ride has been the highlight of my year and I am so excited to cross the finish line with my team in Key West!
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of every dollar raised is shared with AIDS Service Organizations. Please help me meet my personal goal of $1,250 and our team goal of $20,000. Every size donation helps move us closer to a future free of HIV/AIDS.
