Alfredo Iglesias - Rider # 46

This is my 10th consecutive year participating in The SMART Ride and ride's 20th year! Great reasons to celebrate and to renew my commitment to get rid of HIV/AIDS and to help those affected by the diseases.
I have committed to do my part and am looking forward to not just fundraising and helping change the face of HIV and AIDS but to be part of this amazing event this year. On Friday November 17th, and Saturday November 18th I will join hundreds of other individuals who will ride 165 miles on their bicycles. Our journey will be one filled with laughthers of hope, filled with tears of pride, and filled with the beautiful dream of a future free of AIDS.
For this year, I have set an ambitious goal to help raise more than the required $1250 because I believe what we do makes a difference (and because 100% of the money you donate will go back to the community). The event guarantees that every penny that I raise (with your help) will be given to AIDS Service Organizations and directed to prevention, education and direct services. Together we can make a real difference, we can change the world, and help free future generations of living with HIV, while helping those already affected, infected or at risk today stay healthy.
This event is unlike other similar type events. It’s the second largest AIDS bicycle ride in the country and the only one of its size to guarantee that 100% of the funds raised will go back to the benefiting agencies. I hope you will consider joining me on this journey.
We share the words of Margaret Mead "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world, indeed; it is the only thing that ever has."
